GEORGETOWN — The Delaware Technical Community College’s Georgetown campus is revitalizing its performing arts club after years of inactivity, after a meeting on Sept. 25 led by co adviser

Michael McKain discussed future events and student engagement. The club plans to host workshops for students to start to perform and get ready for possible shows in the future. Monthly meetings, fundraisers, and events will be held to bring more awareness to the club’s reestablishment and to get more people involved.

“I’m happy to see the excitement and enthusiasm that the students are bringing, and I think it will be an exciting year,” Mckain said stated after the meeting.

Performing Arts Club President Grace Challman also said, “If you’re passionate about acting, singing, dancing, or music, performing arts is definitely for you and we would love to see you in the club!”

Students, who whether or not have had previous experience with performing arts, were

welcomed into the club. Some students, who exclaimed interest they would join, recommended the club to others who may be interested to act or help out behind the scenes.

A student at the meeting, Andrew Ellison said, “The performing arts club at [Del] Tech is starting again and is open to all…Come out, check it out to pursue your dream.”
