16th annual Chocolate Tasting at Cape Henlopen State Park

LEWES —The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park hosted the 16th annual Chocolate Tasting event at the Officer’s Club in the park on Sept. 7.

The festival featured a selection of chocolates and baked goods, all prepared by the local volunteers of The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park, a non-profit organization.

All of the proceeds from this event go toward the non-profit’s Education Fund, which provides financial support to students in the park's Nature programs. The organization will also use these funds to sponsor other activities within the park.

“There are many opportunities, and it’s such a great place to be,” said a volunteer at the event.

Admission was $8 for six tastes, and any additional tastes were an extra 50 cents. There was also a chocolate-themed bake sale and a 50/50 raffle at the event.
