30 Prizes (and counting!)
Delaware Technical Community College, Owens Campus, held the second annual 30 Prizes in 30 Days event to benefit International Education programs.
When asked about the success of this year’s raffle, Bill Wong, Development Coordinator, said, “We’re hopeful for this year.”
This year’s raffle sold 635 tickets, for a grand total of $19,050. The previous year yielded 646 tickets, a total of $19,380.
The raffle contest ran from Nov. 1 to Nov. 30. A variety of prizes were offered. Each prize was worth a minimum of $50. A minimum of two prizes were awarded each day. These prizes included gift cards to restaurants, a pass to the Rehoboth Beach Country Club, and an Apple-brand watch.
“[There’s a] little bit there for everyone,” said Wong.
Prizes for the contestants were supplied and donated by local vendors and merchants seeking additional further advertising through the 30 Prizes in 30 Days website and social media.

Entering the contest required a one-time ticket fee of $30. Every ticket purchased was re-entered into the drawing for a prize each day until the end of the contest, no matter the number of prizes won previously by a contestant. Tickets could also be bought at any time during the contest.
